What does In Touch offer ?

¨ An In Touch Phone Friend: a regular phone call between two members, to get to know each other, chat, discuss their latest news/weather/life in general. ¨ The In Touch newsletter, with contributions from members - poems, short stories, reminiscences, letters, news of events, pictures, useful tips… and news of current contact numbers for benefits, services, and other developments of interest to older people in the Borough. ¨ In Touch arranges social events several times a year where members meet face-to-face in relaxed and convivial company. Transport is provided to venues for those who need it. ¨ In Touch Groups – through telephone conference calls, we link members of common interest groups together, so everyone can talk and listen in the same session. For example, we run an In Touch TeleBook Club which reads, then discusses a monthly book choice. We also have a weekly In Touch Prayer Group.  Our most recent teleconferencing project is the Gardening Club.
